Russ,
Any chance you could post better-quality pictures (larger, more readable), especially of the item in your first post. Marc |

Privet Russ,
The badge shown here (including the next pic showing the back view) is post soviet. It is actually worn over the right breast pocket (and also on the caps as it seems) by the soldiers of the Presidential Regiment.:D This magazine is already available. This issue deals with the Kremlin Regiment 1924-1996.Next issue will deal with the Presidential Regiment 1997 to now...:) Last edited by CtahhR; 04-16-2014 at 09:44 PM. |

Though they are shaped similarly, the cap and chest badges are distinct. From pictures I've seen, the chest badges reflect the branch-of-service, e.g. navy, ground forces, air force; with the appropriate insignia in the center. |

Ibaya,
I agree with you on this, the fastening device is definitely one for a hat device, not for a chest badge. Marc |

I'm probably not the only one who saw one of these for sale on a popular online bidding forum. ;)
Actually, I was quite surprised. It sold for 100 or 200 dollars, or so.
