This forum, as part of the cloth section of the overall Soviet Awards Forum, has really grown over the past 2 years and I am very proud of it. I want to thank all those who have posted to it, with questions, answers, and opinions. We all have really helped move the hobby forward.

However, I also think that there needs to be a restatement of the etiquette and friendly rules that we have here that make our area of the forum run so well.

This is a place for debate. If you think that your word is the last word, then this is probably not a good place for you. We all have a lot to learn and posts are often best started as “In my opinion” or “In my experience” rather than “This is the way it is” etc. Avoid lectures and ‘end all be all’ statements and leave room for others opinions.

Uniforms are not Orders; a Suvorov is a Suvorov; there is a huge debate to real v. fake, but there is not the individuality that there is in uniforms ( look at all those great demob tunics we have seen!). What we know is based on regulations and experience. Sharing our experience is why we are here. Please direct posts towards information, not people. This is not a battle between individuals, so lets keep it impersonal, keep the lines of communication open, and respect differences of opinion.

If anyone feels this is not what the forum needs, please just let me know and we can discuss it. Feel free to post on this thread if you feel anything is needed.
