Badge "For Service In The Caucasus".

Another fake badge and fake documnet:

"This is a like new Russian Caucasus Service Medal that is awarded for Service in Chechnya. These are being awarded to Soldiers fighting in the Chechen War now. It comes with the small Document (blank) that would be completed by the S-1 or personnel detachment. Medal is 2 piece construction with a hanger and Red, White and Blue attached Ribbon. Ribbon has a screwback device for wear. Really a neat set. "

Tal,

I am not so sure it is a fake. It could very well be one of those unofficial awards. I just don't have enough information about those badges yet. You are right in the sense that even if it exists it is probably made by some small factory, that would be happy to sell them to anyone. The medal certainly doesn't do with this document, it has an early type Russian eagle, as opposed to the current type pictured in the document.
