Zbigniew Malawski, 13th Infantry Regiment, Military Justice/Railway Security
Just a few documents, but very interesting ones...
First we have 1944-dated certification of service issued by the 13th Infantry regiment - for Teodora Malawska (wife) to receive allowances as set for the servicemen and workers of the Polish Army, certyfying that a member of her family - Zbigniew Malawski serves in the Polish Army since 10th September 1944 and is a squad Leader. (The regiment was a part of the 2nd Polish Army (in the East). It fought in Lusitia and Czechoslovakia.) Next document is 1949-dated ID issued by the Military Prosecutor Office (!) of the District Directorate of the Stare Railway (DOKP) in Łódź certifying that lieutenant of the SOK (=Straż Ochrony Kolei=Railway Security Guard, a uniformed, ussually armed service responsible for railway protection) Zbigniew Malawski son of Antoni, delegated from the District command of SOK in Łódź to the Military Prosecutor Office of the LOKP in Łódź is acting as an investigator. The document calls all the military, state securityand railway authorities to show him help with performing his duties. ID valid until 31st December 1949, was signed by the Military Prosecutor of the DOKP in Łódź, lt. colonel Kanel The ID has number "1" - which means it was the first one in that year. Not so surprising, as it has the date of 7th of January 1949. |

Re: Lt. Zbigniew Malawski, 13 Inf. rgt., military justice/railway security
A charge-free train ticket stamped "service" issued in 1951 for MAlawski as a train inspector - not sure if this was still a SOK or a general-PKP function
And additionaly: his brother's citizenship certification - aparently required for the voluntary military service (he was 15 at that time) from 1938. The only additional information I have on Malawski is that he was a police officer before the war and lived in Lwów (now Lviv, Ukraine). |
