Confirmed, 1974 it is. I believe I have seen a DoD translation of this book.

I am not an expert in cloth, so I am not sure about the differences.

I think I might have sold a translation here on the forum months ago. Let's see if anybody here has it.

M69 proposed double-breasted generals field uniforms, while in 1972/1973 (don't remember exactly) a single-breasted ones were itroduced and are covered in 1974 regs. Those uniforms survived until 1980.

I THINK (from what I have seen), that m69 keeps m58 uniforms for Military construction personnel, while in 1974 they were changed to modern ones.

In 1974 new model of Map case was introduced and is shown in m74 book

m69 still allowed the use of "burki" felt boots, while m74 didn't.

m69 allowed the set of white trousers and black double-breasted jacket for admirals and generals of the navy, while it's not allowed by m74 regs.

There's "Praporshchik" rank already listed in 74 regs, while it was non-existent in 1969.

That'swhat I know.

Re: M74 regulations of uniform wearing?

One more difference comes to my mind. In 1969 new field uniforms were introduced, and first the winter jacket for them was the same for both EM and officers, while in 1974 a model with fur collar for officers was introduced.

Also in m74 the way of wearing pistol on naval uniforms is shown.

+ there's a problem with EM parade belts...

Re: M74 regulations of uniform wearing?

Well, Finding a translation may be a problem. I have once seen an american book on soviet uniforms from mid70's and I belive it based on m74 regs., but Idon't think it's available so often.
Normally I would think of translating them myself, but I (at last) have to get back to m58 regs. translation.:(

Maybe, who knows?
But that will take time. I have more work now than I used to have in spring.
