I also tend to like it. Can you post a picture of the ring?

I like it. The berry pattern looks good to me.

Re: Fake "Liberation of" Campaign Medals
My turn to ask opinions on a Belgrad medal. Is it good :thumbsup or fake :thumbsdown?
(these pictures are the best I can get, I'm afraid) Thank you ciao Sergio Last edited by rocketscientist; 01-20-2013 at 06:08 PM. |

Re: Fake "Liberation of" Campaign Medals
Sergio, your method of crossed lines is not very reliable. Be careful, it can get you down. Many fakes are too accurate for such checking.
But the medal, on the whole, looks plausible to me. |

Re: Fake "Liberation of" Campaign Medals
Drill, thanks for your comment. I imagine that checking the berry pattern is not sufficient to discriminate between originals and fakes (especially for such expensive medals) but at least it puts a filter on a certain family of rough copies, seen often in this forum.

Any oppinions about this Belgrad medal?
The surface structure of the medal near the rim is a little bit suspicious to me. thanks and best regards Andreas Last edited by CtahhR; 12-22-2014 at 02:50 AM. |

Re: Fake "Liberation of" Campaign Medals
Andreas,
From these photos, the medal looks OK, although there are a couple of small details that I wouldn't mind having a better look at. Marc |
