Retired/Reserve stripe

I am aware that there was a metallic stripe, 28 mm wide (the opposite color of the shoulder board-silver stripe on gold board, gold stripe on silver board) worn near the bottom of the edge of the shoulder boards to denote reservist/retiree status. The retiree stripe had a zig zag line running across it in a color opposite the stripe. The reservist stripe was without the zigzag. As far as I know, these stripes were introduced in 1947 but later disappeared from regulations.

At what time did these stripes cease to be authorized on uniforms, and for what reason?

Minister of Defense order number 63 from April 19 1955.
