major's parade uniform complete
Hey guys,
I believe I have completed everything nessisary for a major's parade uniform (M88). Here are the pictures before I attach anything and make it perminant. Please see if I have left something out, have an inaccurate badge (and let me know what I need instead) or if I have things in the wong place or order (medals). I bought a M88 uniform regualtion book, but not one of the pictures show where to put the proficiency badge, medal from the Afgahn People (blue ribbon, circular gold metal with flags on it) or the foriegn service medal (red ribbon, gold star with blue center). For these I am going solely off of pictures from Tretov's site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: major's parade uniform complete
here is a close-up of the medals so you can see the order. I think I got it right since the reg book shows it specifically, but just to be sure.
The guy who I bought my colonel's uniform from aid he would send it today, but he didn't let me know if he actually did. If it ever does arrive I will be posting pictures of that as well (It will obviously have more on it so there will be more possibilities to make an error). Anyway thanks again for your help. |

Re: major's parade uniform complete
Nice start!! :)
As far as the medal bar goes the Kiev should be placed third, but as I've said before 'if I *ever* find a soviet medal bar (or ribbon bar) with the correct order I'll buy everybody here a new car.' ;)

Re: major's parade uniform complete
The “Gvardija” badge and educational badge are pinned incorrect; they suppose to be higher to the top. Another, major with Afghanistan medal and no one medal or order for bravery?

Re: major's parade uniform complete
I assumed that the Afgahn medals were "I was there" awards. The major didn't nessissarily have to be in combat, let alone do anything heroic. Please correct me if I am wrong...
Thanks for the feedback so far everybody. I appreciate any and all suggestions that will ensure I get this uniform right. |

Re: major's parade uniform complete
From my knowledge, not just one medal “From blissful Afghani”. No brave man had to have “Afghan war service” medal

Re: major's parade uniform complete
I still think that the academy badge and the Guards badge should be positioned higher up on the tunic than they are now. Nice uniform by the way.
