This is a new thread dedicated to photos of Soviet ( any era) uniforms in museums....post away!

I'll start. This is a great Artillery officers tunic from the Central Museum of Artillery and Engineering Troops, St.Petersburg.

Central Armed Forces Museum had a nice display on armoured units of the Russian Civil War.

The State History Museum did a great display on the 1945 Victory Parade back in 2005 (I think thats when it was). Here is a great shot of a Technical ( i.e. Engineering and Signals) M1943 parade tunic for a Lt.General...not withstanding what's said by moderators on other forums, magenta with gold embroidery is for Engineering Generals; silver embroidery with red insignia is just administration, not "Technical Engineering".

They are all incredible photos and I would love to see as long a list of pictures of actual uniforms for reference (and admiration) as possible since I am still learning about them and I'm a "visual learner.":D

Of course you know my favorite one is in post #2 (one guess as to which ;)) though for eye-pleasing the two generals have it hands down. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen the two lower badges on the Lt. General's uniform before. Perhaps they are engineering related.
