GPW Soviet Jackboots - Opinions Please
I just bought these Russian boots and I am trying to figure out if they are authentic WWII boots or post-war manufacture. They look like the real deal to me but I'm not 100% sure. The markings on the inside also don't seem to have any date.
What do some of the experts think. Thanks, Eric |

I would lean towards post-war. Although there is usually a cyrillic "g" after dates, the "83" on the boots could be the year of manufacture.

Re: WWII Russian Jackboots - Opinions Please
I was also looking for the cyrillic "g" for finding a date. I can't imagine that they were using leather soled boots in the 80's. The leather sole and half sole makes me think that they are wartime boots (I hope...).
Thanks, Eric |

The style of the stamp does not say earlier than 1970s to me.

Hatrick,
I believe that these are 1950's vintage due to the type of nails used to secure the sole. Marc |

These boots are manufactured between 1957 and 1968.

I didn't even know forum expertise extended to boots. I'm impressed.
