Afghanistan hat/cap patch?

The seller claims this rather decent looking patch is an "Afghanistan Military Cap Badge 1980s." At 9x8cm, that's pretty big for a cap, in my opinion. The seller also neglects to mention which army this was for, though it has all the communist symbols - star, gear, (AK-47 & hoe:rolleyes:).

Anybody see one like this before?

Thanks Doug. Methinks the seller is trying very hard to sell something and more Americans at least know of Afghanistan than they do Mozambique. This seller is not to be trusted with anything I've seen in his "store" so far. There are either modern reproductions or things labeled incorrectly (and most likely on purpose). He also does not respond to direct questions about authenticity.:thumbsdown

Given that, I´d say it´s 100% crude kosher. If it really were from Mozambique, the AK would have its attached bayonet and the hoe would have the correct shape.

I may be wrong though, but it looks like someone made this patch inspired on the Mozambique CoA, added some more communist distinctive symbols and thought he/she could fool a buyer on ePay, rather than an official military issue.

Since there are apparently no reverse images available, I'd say Esteban's guess about it being made to order (and then sell) seems very likely. The stitching seems nicely done, but the material of the patch and its lack of any sort of border gives me pause.
