I think

it´s a genuine hat I´m looking at. I have some of my own and this one looks good to me. Check the other auctions by the seller if he sells copies of other stuff ( If so i would think a little extra) and his feedbackprofile if it´s on ebay.
Best

Some new lines from Sweden

I have to let go of a little anger about forgeries... they are getting to good. Soon you can´t say anything without holding the object in your hand. A photo ain´t enough. I was tricked by this one. When I examine the pics closely there are some detals that need to be checked in person. Always make sure that there is time to let the deal go back if you´re not satisfied with what you get.

1930s hat

Hello

Thanks for the reply.

Is $79 usd a fair price and is there any factory or makers marks I should be looking for in the inside of the hat??

hat

I think it´s quite cheap. Under 100 dollars is a good price. Many of these hats goes for several hundred dollars. There could be markings inside but it doesn´t have to have it. A factory mark or a issue year mark for example 39r where the r stands for year. There could also be some kind of logo for the factory or combinat. Don´t be worried if there ain´t any. That´s common as well.

Soviet hat

Just an update it is a reproduction.

Seller says: Hello!
This is very good reproduction, and I allredy sold
allot of like this items ,this is very last one.Every
body hapy with .

I don't like how some people advertise, they leave up to you to ask if it is real or fake, they should put right away it is a reprodution. The add makes you think it is real.

Ron,

I am not an expert in hats. In my opinion, even the seller would not say that this hat is a reproduction, the 70-year (!) old hat cannot be in this good condition. Even nobody used it for 70 years, it would not look like this. Clothing or hats after 70 years of just laying in the drawer look very old. This hat looks like 2-3 months or maximum one year old product.

Eric.
