Agree, and i do not see why that "2" would be different. The picture has been taken from an other angle. That's all.

I know that you are a very experienced and reputable collector, so I would like to mention that the only thing, that made me suspicious too, was the serial number indeed. The "1" should have an underscore beyond it and the "2" misses the little "hook" at it`s right end... I will see, if I can get better images though.

Yes, exactly.

Guys, don't take it as absolute truth, I'm not an expert, it's just my opinion, the result of comparisons.

For example, looking, I found this, and it is considered good, without the _ of the 1 , caused of the wrong angle of punching.

But I don't think so, it's the same thing of the Shocktrooper medal, in his case, the pressure and angle of the punch seems very well distributed. http://soviet-awards.com/forum/attachmen...als-05-jpg

Dear All,

Some pictures of the Navy Order Admiral Nakhimov. Numbered # 2653, but the nummering looks to large and the medal seems to have a hallmark on the top. Was it usual to hallmark these medals and using too large letter types?
