Fake Orders of Lenin
#61
Hi all,

I'm a bit worried about the serial number of this OL. It looks rather weak and wrongly placed. Am I correct?

Thnx!

Another Lenin, this time with screwback. I don't really like the letters on this one.

Hi,

the enamel looks extremely bad and so does the blackened base of the screw post and some smaller details. Maybe it is a scratch fake, or a repaired, formerly heavily damaged piece... from grave robbers, etc. who knows for sure these days.

I would let it go, if I were you !

MarvWe,

This OL is original, but in bad shape. The enamel may be damaged, or may be replacement epoxy, difficult to tell from pictures.

Now, this specific order is VERY interesting in that it has a hand-engraved SN, a scarce variety.

From where I am sitting the enamel looks completely replaced on the banner. I do not have this variation in my collection :(
