M1943 Field General
#1
Though 'field' genrals have shown up now and then, they are often converted service tunics in that they still have piping but have the subdued buttons and boards. Here is a genuine field uniform for a general though, without any piping (other than the boards) and subdued buttons, no trouser stripes, and no colored cap insignia. The hole was there for an HSU so I added a replica for display.

Cool. What's the uniform like quality-wise? And what's the cap badge look like up close?

The quality is very good, same as service M1943 generals tunic. The cap badge is a standard M1940, but with the green field paint on it; this was pretty rare, most often this type of hat was worn with a regular M1940 generals cap badge. Thats why i like this combination; very 'field'.

Very nice indeed. The cap has a nice "bus-driver" shape to it too :thumbsup
