I count 7 Red Stars! Plus 2 T1 CSMs, 3 Guards Badges, two downright glares and one puzzled expression.
These photos are just way cool and will make a great addition to my collection of paper items.
Thanks Brendan!
No problemo my friend:thumbsup

Picked up these items at the local militaria fair. All relate to a sailor of the Amur River flotilla.
His picture clearly shows АФ on his shoulder boards. He is sporting 3 medals - one of which is the "Victory Over Japan" medal. Can anyone please suggest what the other two are? They seem like campaign or anniversary medals. Further, does the uniform suggest what era the photo was taken?
His "Victory Over Japan" medal award card has a stamp of 1st Brigade of River Ships of the Red Banner Amur Flotilla (1-й бригады речных кораблей Амурская Краснознаменная Флотилия КАФ). How does the written abbreviation on the card preceding the КАФ relate to this?
The appreciation certificate calls him Red Army Man - is this usual for a sailor? I would have expected Krasnoflotets instead.
From left to right as you look at 'ole boy, I'd say he was wearing VoG/VoJ/XXXAnnSovArmy. You can just make out the Stalin on the VoG, and the ribbon pattern of the last medal matches the 30th anniversary medal.
Looks like Brian's got the medals right.
Nice group! I really like the photo, and Navy photos are rare.
The Amur River, for those who are wondering runs West from Mongolia to basically the eastern North Pacific and forms the border between Russia and China today. (I had to look it up myself :) )

Here's two more I got today. A HSU no less! Plus 5 ORBs and a Lenin. Nice, nice.:thumbsup
These came from Sparky's neighbor. Evidently Sparky picked them up while undercover in a place that shall remain nameless for security reasons. :tumbleweed
The Sparkster was even nice enough to translate the reverse for me. What a cat!
Thanks Norm! You're a :winner

This is Guards Senior Sergeant Mirkhodja Mirtadjievich Dostmukhamedov (Мирходжа Миртаджиевич Дустмухамедов), holder of Order of Glory III № 136,270 and Bravery Medal № 3,202,828. He was the maternal grandfather of a friend of mine. He is justifiably proud of his grandfather. I would be too...
