Since I had to get a new computer a while back I've had to reload my Collection Master Program. I am entering the data from the back up file I made. I found two Orders of the Red Star that I have not posted here. Here's the first.

You know I have a weakness for Red Stars! 3261345 may be a long-service award of November, 1954, whereas 3751561 may have been awarded October, 1967, per the "green bible."

Nice pieces, Doc! :thumbsup I really love late-issue Red Stars. Just a note, the picture shows the actual number on the second one is 3,751,561 (not 3,715,XXX as you listed) Bill, I'm not sure it fits in the October '67 set. The highest number I have seen for those is 3,727,XXX, as listed in "Echoes." I think you were checked the 3,715,XXX number, which indeed would have made it from 10/67. The closest pieces listed in "Echoes" are + or - about 4,000, which, for this particular range, could make it just about anything. So, Doc, if you ever get research for the 3,751,XXX star I would really like to see it! Alex

Hello, I pick up two orders of the red stars but I am not sure the dates of issues. (No. 2120496) and ( No.1890322), I am thinking sometime in the late 1940s but I am not sure. I am greatfull for any help that someone could give?

Welcome to the forum. Those serial numbers are often tricky to nail down to specific dates, but I'm sure someone with a copy of Echoes of War might be able to give you an idea. Also, if you search the forum, I recall seeing a few lists of ORS serial numbers and approximate issue dates.
