Morfłot and similar didn't always follow the same rules as the navy - I have seen a Morflot cap with smaller (like pre 69) crown which was dated 1974.

I´m sure you are right, but those cords must always be a sign of suspect.
Maybe Tretov would like to ask the seller for inside pictures to see if the cords are just a replacement.
