Bulgarian Generals Parade visor

Well, it is at least ornate. I am guessing 1980's.

Re: Bulgarian Generals Parade visor

Clumsy appearance imho... thick cord and oversized metal leaves on the small visor...

Re: Bulgarian Generals Parade visor

Doug,

Interesting piece. And I thought the new Russian designs were over-the-top...

I'm still not a cloth convert, but I think Patrick is right about the "clumsy" appearance since everything looks like it was added by the owner without any space left. Neat.;)

Okay now, I'm not trying to insult your new acquisition (if indeed it's yours). It may not be the prettiest duckling, but it is of significant interest in my opinion to anyone who deals with cloth and even to me since this is the first Bulgarian General's parade visor I have ever seen. Despite their lack of tasteful (to me) workmanship, it still says a great deal about the people who wore them. I'm not sure it says anything good, but it says something...;):D

Re: Bulgarian Generals Parade visor

Very 'Germanic' bullion oakleaf wreath.
