Rare Swedish Försökshjälm (experimental helmet) model B.

With only an estimated production run of 200 units this is the rarest Stahlhelm variation ever made
Built in 1920 after the end of WW1 and based heavily on the German Stahlhelm this helmet was eventually discarded for mass production in favour of the M21 helmet.

However, these experimental helmets have stayed into service well into WW2, when many were refurbished according to 1942 army specification such as the addition of the "three crowns" Swedish decal.

This helmet specifically has received both a new liner and the chinstrap sometime after 1920 from a M21 helmet.

The hole drilled on the frontal emblem suggest that this helmet transitioned to the police.

There is a signature at the back, but is illegible. Condition is in excellent used condition.
