An amazing rare piece of United States and Civil War memorabilia. An 1861 tax document from the United States Internal Revenue, the Internal Revenue Service was created in 1862 to help fund the Civil War, but this document appears to be from 1861, my guess it may have been from the Revenue Act of 1861?, which was also used to help fund the Civil War and a precursor to the Revenue Act of 1862. It is in poor condition, has been taped together at some time, is seperating a little at the top, but still presentable. A great piece of American and Civil War memorabilia.
