AIR FORCES U.S ARMY ///. Little tag says 40It has stitch holes on the chest that will be very helpful in figuring out what unit or squadron . The stitch holes is not circular like so many patches. IT has a bit of a base to the bottom and on the right side it sticks out like an end of a bomb. I tired to picture for you to see this. Above the patch will be some other stitching that is in the shape of a wing and looks like this belonged to a gunnerOver all the leather is very nice and with some conditioning you should be able to wear this jacket if you dare, since it is now over 80 years old.
Waist band and cuffs as seen in photos are a bit bug bitten from age, and top edge on the leather collar has a rough spot. I also have taken photos of the front and back of the collarInterior fabric is original and torn as seen, and the tag is original with leather hanger pullThis is just the way you want to find these old jacketsMy dad was a B-24 Pilot with the 466th out of England , so I have always had my eyes out for old military items.
