ABOUT:
One of kind, photo album (27 pages) of the funeral (organized by the government of Armenian SSR) of the famous Soviet (Russian Armenian) Military leader, Major-General Sergei Karapetyan in 1954, in Yerevan, Soviet Armenia. Among the participants of the official funeral ceremony were Anton Kochinyan (Chairman of the Council of Ministers from 1952 to 1966, and the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Armenia from 1966 until his retirement in 1974), Marshal of the Soviet Union Ivan Bagramyan as well as many other military and political leaders.
As well as 3 Medals:
Karapetyan Sergey Isaevich (1899-1954) the Soviet Major-General of Armenian origin (1942), in WWIIKarapetyan Sergey Isaevich (1899-1954) a Soviet military leader of Armenian origin, Major-General (1942). He took part in the Russian Civil war (Red Army, 1918-1921) and the Great Patriotic war (WWII in Russia, 1941-1945). Commanded of the 174th Rifle Division [II form.] (1942), the 46th Guards Rifle Division (1942-1944) and the 146th Rifle Division [II form.] (1944-1945, the Vistula–Oder Offensive, the East Pomeranian Offensive and the Assault of Berlin).
В 1936-1937 - командир 22-го армянского кавалерийского полка 2-й кавдивизии ЗакВО.
В 1938-1940 - командир 45-го кавалерийского полка 11-й кавдивизии Белорусского особого ВО.
В 1940-1941 - командир 5-го мотострелкового полка 5-й танковой дивизии Прибалтийского особого ВО.
С 1942 - командир 46-й гвардейской стрелковой дивизии Воронежского фронта.
В 1944 - участвовал в освобождении Тарту и Риги.
В 1945 году в качестве командира 146-й дивизии Первого Белорусского фронта участвовал в боях на Висле, в освобождении Варшавы, в форсировании Одера, в Берлинской операции.
В послевоенные годы был начальником отдела боевого обучения при штабе 7-й гвардейской армии ЗакВО.
В мае 1948 - уволен в отставку по болезни.
9 ноября 1954 года умер в Ереване.
