Rare…..Nine (9) WWII AMERICAN RED CROSS WW2 Audiodisc Record Message from Serviceman. These records (78 rpm) were purchased from an estate sale of Lou Meliori, who served during WWII with the 1st Division, 7th Marines, 2nd Battalion on Guadalcanal, Peleiu and Okinawa where he was severely wounded. I only have a child record player to test them and they are mostly inaudible and crackling, what I can hear is mostly singing. I don’t know if he is singing or if it is a recording of a record, there are background orchestra sounds. I could detect some talking on one or two but could not understand it. Some may be blank because the needle just slid across the record with no sound. The records are in “as found” condition with stains.
