This sword was originally part of a set that included a Confederate Officer's gladius. This piece I believe is a rare cadet sword, perhaps custom ordered, perhaps for a cadet at the Virginia Military Institute. The scabbard is metal with a dyed red leather sheathing. Condition is good with some wear as shown. Dimensions overall 27".
