Grades -

  • Grade 1 -Excellent quality surplus that has been previously issued and shows some light signs of use. No holes, or major markings. Has been in long term storage but ready to go!
  • Grade 1.5 Zipper - Like most grade 1 items, it has been previously issued and has some signs of use, but is in great condition over all. The \".5\" comes in because the original zipper has been professionally replaced, and as such can\'t be sold as 100% original, but still fantastic condition.
  • Grade 1.5 Drawstring Issues - Still in excellent condition, this grade has one or two parts of the plastic draw strings broken. The string is still included, but sadly the anchor is damaged. The jacket itself is still great.

Modern surplus with a design that\'s been around for years, only recently being phased out and certainly not in any hurry. The jacket is used by a few different branches, but namely the \" Gebirgsjäger \" or mountain infantry of the Austrian Bundesheer.

Honestly one of the most comfortable and soft pieces of military kit I\'ve stocked so far. It\'s fantastically versatile with how many pockets it has, but not overbearing either. Great for all weather really, especially with the insulation features included.

It should be noted these are designed to be worn over a few layers. The Austrian size may state 88-92cm for a chest, but without layers it could easily be worn by a 96cm chest!

All jackets come in olive drab, a favourite colour for the Austrians. A tried and tested colour that works exceptionally well for not being a proper camouflage pattern.
