For sale is a very nice WWII Civic Medal for War Merit from Belgium. The crossed torches show this was issued during the war. This looks to me to be a silver colored medal that has tarnished to a more bronzy color - as such I believe it is a 2nd class (silver class) medal but could possibly be a 3rd . I had the metal content tested and it is NOT made of silver.
It is a very nice looking item - there is a silver colored clasp that looks to be maybe aluminum and has the dates 1941-1945. The yellow ribbon is in nice condition. The medal is solid and relatively heavy! The medal is about 3.75" tall including the ribbon. The medal part is about 1.75" tall x 1.25" wide. Please check out the pics to judge condition for yourself!
