This is a rare and original Civil War Model 1850 Officer's Sword, complete with its scabbard. The sword is Solingen and has word above it maybe Horstar or Horstir?? See photo. It is a perfect addition to any Militaria collection, especially for those interested in edged weapons from the Civil War period. The sword has a rich history, having been used during the conflict which took place between 1861 and 1865, commonly referred to as the Civil War. It is an authentic piece and has not been modified in any way.

Sword is in very nice condition for the age and has been in this family for over 60 years. Non-Smoking home and Pet Free. Was part of black powder gun builder Arthur Sementelli’s collection of civil war items.

The scabbard has normal wear and tear and some denting. The scabbard and sword fit nicely together but if shake hard enough will come loose.
