DOSAAF USSR Active Worker Soviet Vintage Military Badges Pins / set 3 pcs. These badges belong to the organization DOSAAF USSR / ДОСААФ СССР (Voluntary Society for the Assistance of the Army, Aviation and Navy of the USSR). The inscription on them says: "For Active Work". These are award badges that were awarded to members or activists of this organization for special contribution or active participation in its activities.
DOSAAF was a mass defense and sports organization in the Soviet Union. Its goal was to prepare young people for service in the army, popularize military professions, and develop technical and sports skills, such as aircraft modeling, shooting, driving, radio communications, etc.
Such badges were awarded as a form of moral encouragement - it was evidence of recognition of a person's efforts and achievements within the framework of the organization's activities. They could be part of a uniform or a collectible, and also had symbolic meaning among the organization's members.
The badge depicts a red star with a hammer and sickle, which are symbols of Soviet power, as well as an anchor and a wing - this indicates affiliation with the naval and aviation directions of DOSAAF.
