Obverse (Front Side): The badge is designed in the shape of a classic straight-edged cross. Superimposed diagonally behind the central medallion are two crossed traditional Cossack sabers (shashkas). The central circular medallion features a textured background with the crisp, raised inscription ДОНА (To the Defenders of Free Don) and the historical dates 1917-1919. The medallion is framed by a stylized border representing a heavy metal chain.
Reverse (Back Side): The reverse side features an equally detailed, double-sided design. The central circular emblem depicts the traditional coat of arms of the Don Host: a stag pierced by an arrow. Around the stag, the official title is embossed in circular pre-reform lettering: (Great Don Army).
Finish and Materials: Made of solid metal with an authentic antique silver-toned finish. The clean metallic patina beautifully highlights the fine lines, textures, and historical text on both sides of the badge.
