This stunning piece is an authentic East German (Deutsche Demokratische Republik or DDR) NVA (Nationale Volksarmee) General\'s or Admiral\'s Presentation Dagger, specifically identifiable by the unique round emblem on the scabbard throat featuring the hammer, compass, and rye wreath of the East German state coat of arms! The presence of the serial number 03754 stamped on the ricasso, the iconic cream-colored ribbed handle, the stylized oak leaf engraving, and the downward-curving crossguard all perfectly match the design issued to high-ranking military personnel for ceremonial wear between the 1960s and 1980s! The complete ensemble is beautifully preserved here in its original velvet-lined red presentation case, accompanied by the correct formal gold-and-black fabric hanging straps (Dolchgehänge) with their decorative brass buckles and a matching belt loop hanger!
