A similar item with a red cross on an elongated star was identified as Order of the Garter rank badges by Grenadier, Coldstream and Welsh Guards after WWI when they were adopted from the LifeGuards and Royal Horse Guards-- could be related? An image search suggested it could be Greek. Please share if you have any information.
