Very nice World War II US Navy Diver jumper and trousers, both named to one "W.C. Ryder".


The midnight blue winter jumper was manufactured at the US Naval Clothing Factory, and is so marked on the spec label under the collar. The property stamp of "W.C. Ryder" is stamped there as well. The right sleeve features the Stryker patch for Navy Diver, which is hand-sewn to the uniform.  The left sleeve features the "C.B." (Construction Batallion) Stryker patch, which is hand sewn to the lower sleeve. There is no sleeve rate or iconic Seabees patch on the shoulder. With no Ruptured Duck, this was likely his working uniform, as opposed to the one worn on shore leave.


The midnight blue winter trousers are standard issue, manufactured by the US Navy Clothing Factory, and is so marked on the spec label. The label is also bears Ryder's property stamp similar to the jumper.


U.S. Navy Diver uniforms from World War II are among the rarest, with this being the only named set that I've owned.


The uniform remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Please see the pictures for more detail.
