Official USSR VOHR State Security Hat Badge Crossed Rifles Soviet Cockade For Sale

Welcome to our listing page!Up for sale is a 100% original, authentic Soviet VOHR (Armed Guard Security) hat badge (cap cockade) from the 1980s Cold War era. This circular insignia features a gold-toned ribbed border, a green enamel background, and a central red star with detailed crossed rifles. This specific version is a late-Soviet period, authentic one-piece stamped anodized aluminum badge. For international collectors, the term VOHR (Военизированная охрана / Voenizirovannaya Okhrana) translates to \"Militarized Security\" or \"Armed Bureaucratic Guard\". In the Soviet Union, VOHR was a unique, highly specialized state security force with an elite legal status. Unlike regular industrial watchmen, VOHR personnel were armed with military-grade combat firearms (such as rifles and carbines) and operated under strict paramilitary regulations.Structurally, VOHR units reported directly to various civilian ministries, industrial state enterprises, and infrastructure authorities of the USSR. They were responsible for protecting high-security government facilities, closed scientific research institutes, weapon factories, strategic storehouses, and crucial communication hubs. Because they served specialized state departments rather than the regular army, they wore distinct uniforms and departmental badges, such as this iconic \"Crossed Rifles\" cockade. A wonderful and uncommon piece for any collector of Soviet law enforcement, security, or Cold War history. We have various authentic USSR hat badges and cockades available in our store.
