Original Soviet Officer Parade Uniform Set – USSR, Early 1980s
A remarkable original Soviet officer uniform ensemble preserved as a single historical group.
This is not a random collection assembled from unrelated pieces. According to the provenance of the set, the uniform and accompanying equipment belonged to one officer and were preserved together for decades.
The centerpiece is a classic Soviet officer parade/service uniform in the distinctive blue-green color with red piping, gold-tone shoulder boards and period insignia.
The complete wearable/display ensemble includes:
The peaked cap retains its original factory label and is marked 1983. The interior marking shows size 58.
The boots retain original Soviet factory markings, including GOST 19137-73, as well as production/size markings visible in the photographs. The boots are marked approximately size 43.
The tunic features original shoulder boards, collar insignia, gold-tone buttons and period Soviet military details.
The trousers retain their traditional red officer piping and stirrup-style foot straps designed to be worn inside high boots.
The yellow ceremonial belt is especially attractive and gives the uniform the unmistakable formal parade appearance associated with Soviet officer dress uniforms of the period.
What makes this set especially desirable is its single-owner provenance and completeness. Complete groups with uniform, matching trousers, period cap, parade belt, shirt, tie and original boots are much more difficult to find than individual tunics or caps.
It would display beautifully on a mannequin in a military collection, museum-style interior, historical exhibition, film production or private Cold War collection.
Approximate measurements visible in the photographs:Please use the measurement photographs as the final reference, as vintage Soviet sizing may differ from modern sizing.
Original vintage item. No reproductions.
A very attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find complete Soviet officer uniform ensemble from the late USSR period.
