Original Soviet Militia Lieutenant Colonel Personal Collection–Medals, Documents For Sale

Exceptional original Soviet-era personal collection belonging to a Soviet militia Lieutenant Colonel.

This is not a random assortment of Soviet medals. The collection represents the personal military/police service and award documentation of one individual and includes original medals together with their corresponding documents and personal service materials.

The collection includes:

• Medal “For Battle Service” — silver class
• Medal “For the Defense of the Caucasus”
• Other Soviet military/service awards and medals
• Original award certificates and supporting documentation for the medals
• Soviet militia/service certificates and identification documents
• Personal service documents
• Communist Party membership mandate/document
• Kremlin access passes and admission documents connected with sessions of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR
• Original Lieutenant Colonel shoulder boards (epaulettes)
• Original Soviet medal ribbon bars and award ribbons
• Additional period documents and memorabilia belonging to the same individual

The particularly interesting aspect of this collection is the combination of original awards, official award documentation, personal identification/service documents and uniform insignia, providing a strong historical connection to the individual who received and wore these awards.
