Original Soviet WWII / WW2 Red Army Pilotka Side Cap 1940 Dated

Here is a Soviet pilotka, made of rough salt and pepper cotton cloth with a stamp dated 1940. Pilotka hats were used by the Soviet army from WWII until its dissolution in 1991, remaining the entire time as an iconic symbol of the Soviet soldier. The stamp, though faded, is one belonging to the Samoilova factory, based in Leningrad during the war. The simple interior consists of sewn lining and an oilcloth sweatband. The cockade is also in good shape, although of note is that it appears to be a very early postwar cockade.

The pilotka overall is in very clean condition outside, with only very minor spots of wear and some fading over time. The oilcloth sweatband is faded from wear and age. The factory stamp is also present on the dark lining, and though faded, the 1940 date is still very much quite visible in good lighting. A great uncommon display piece in clean shape.

Reasonable offers are more than welcome, and I am always open to communication or negotiation.
