ITEM: RARE Original WWI Unit History - AMERICANS ALL: THE RAINBOW AT WAR, 42nd US INFANTRY DIVISION by Henry J. Reilly, 1936. MASSIVE unit history of the 42nd Rainbow Division in World War I. Written by Reilly who commanded an artillery regiment and then the artillery brigade of the 42nd Division during the war. MASSIVE 888 pages of narrative history with photos and several fold-out maps of battles. I could only show a couple photos and a few of the maps. Nice EMBOSSED COVER with symbols for the various battalions and regiments from 26 states and DC that made up the 42nd Rainbow Division,. HARD TO FIND. See all pictures.
