This is an exceptional framed collection of original Polish military unit and regimental badges from the period of the Second Polish Republic (1918–1939), with several later examples.
The set comes from a single estate collection and represents decades of careful collecting of Polish military insignia. The badges are mounted in a display frame on black felt backing and have remained in this arrangement for many years.
These are not reproductions or modern souvenirs — they are authentic period pieces showing age, patina, and construction typical for interwar Polish military badges.
The collection includes numerous examples associated with:
• Polish cavalry regiments (Ułani, Szwoleżerowie)
• Infantry and regimental unit badges
• Eagles and heraldic emblems of the Polish Armed Forces
• Cross-shaped regimental insignia typical for II RP units
• Enamel and silvered metal construction seen in pre-WWII badges
Many badges feature original enamel work, detailed Polish eagles, regimental numbers, and heraldic designs characteristic of interwar Polish military formations.
CONDITIONAll badges show natural age, patina, and wear consistent with original pieces from the 1918–1939 period. Enamel remains in very good condition on most examples. Some oxidation and surface wear is present, as expected for authentic items of this age.
Badges are mounted through the backing board (see reverse photo).
Frame included as part of the historical display.
