Post WWII US Army contract helmet liner \"DOT\" fastener chinstrap:
$36.99

One could get a master\'s degree in WWII helmet liner chin straps these days. What is for sale here IS NOT of 1941 to 1945 WWII vintage. helmet liner design remained much the same from early WWII until the late 1950s when M1 liners were re-designed. As a result, parts continued to be produced to support the WWII style helmet liners that required chinstraps from the end of WWII until the late 50s. As a result, production contracts for these chin straps were not terminated until the late fifties. These post-war contracts continued to to be produced for straps just as they were at the end of the War but were mark differently. The straps offered are of correct weight , color, etc. but are marked DOT on the rivet near the buckle (or some times on the other end). This is definitely a post- WWII strap but is EXACTLY the same as a WWII strap otherwise. The marking on the back of the buckle is the only difference. If you are not satisfied with the chin strap you receive, I will refund your money with no arguments.
