For your consideration are these Vintage U.S. Navy / Marine Corps /Naval Aviator Astronaut Wings by maker, Wolf-Brown, of Los Angeles California. This company was later bought by military pin maker, Vanguard, in 1985. Wolf-Brown's W-22-N makers mark on these large (full size 2.75" wings) specifically dates these to the 1960's or early 1970's. They're also marked 1/20 10k (Gold Filled) further dating them to this pre 1974 period. They're beyond rare and were the first generation of astronaut wing for Naval Aviators. There were only a small handful of Navy/USMC astronauts in the 1960's - among them was John Glenn and R. Walter Cunningham. These wings were acquired from an old military collection.
