U.S. ~~ WW1Remington "1918" BAYONET & SCABBARDOnly c.5000 pcs. Produced ~1917Knife 22" L with 17" Blade. ~ Net Weight 1 lb. 10.6 oz. in Scabbard.
NOTES: Rare late war issue by Remington (1917), which mistakenly stamped the shoulder, "1918"Blued blade, with fullers and pull marks. Factory ground edge, quillback spine.Flanking the Mark side stamp, Ordnance bomb and US: a hand-stamped 21 and X.
VG walnut wood handles,secured with slotted screws and spanner nuts;note rusty metal scabbard tip, throat guide and scabbard. Glued repair joints with the leather.Latch operates smoothly (button looks like a replacement). Rust 'pops' show on all blued finish.
