Here is a rare Chinese c. 1920 Belgium Rifle Triangular Bayonet with Scabbard. Bayonet shows some age patina, wear, use, paint loss on the handle. This was a Belgium export which was used by the Chinese, it is manufactured from a socket bayonet blade or manufactured in the 1920's when the bayonet was assembled. These have been mistaken for a German Ersatz, but this has a full muzzle ring which the Germans did not have. This piece measures 21.75" overall with a blade length of 16.50". The blade looks like a British Pattern 1853 but with the top of the blade turned to the right. Excellent working press-stud with much original black paint remaining on the handle. Bayonet is tight with no looseness anywhere. This bayonet was made for the 8mm Mauser 1898 Rifles that were exported to China. These unusual pieces were not marked and were painted black*.
