Russian Cossacks saber made by Tula’s Weaponry Factory in 1848.
Very nice example of a saber made during the Russian Empire. The blade is in very good condition with text on spine by the hilt: Tula 1848 - Тула 1848 года. I do not see any other markings. Looks like they wereerasedwith cleaning.
The wooden hilt is covered by leather and brass wire. The wooden scabbard covered by leather with some small and big chips of the leather.
