Russian Empire, original Asian pattern -Nizhegorodka shashka made by ZOF and dated 1916.
The blade is in almost excellent condition. One side by the handle has round seal Zlatoust Weaponry Factory and the year it was made 1916, another side is with arsenal marks and number 216. Two letters A stand for Arsenal abbreviation. The handlewith a wooden grip. Only one regiment in the city of Nizhegorod has shashkas with attachments for ba-net in the Russian Empire. The wooden scabbard covered by the leather with some loses and 3 brass parts stamped with letter A.The total length is 39.5 inches, the blade only is 34 inches long. (17)
