Russian Imperial COSSACK CAUCASIAN SILVER KINDJAL DAGGER 19th C:
$2000.00

This is a very beautiful example of a Russian Caucasian dagger, made in the city of Shusha (modern Shusha) of Karabakh. Dirks were made mainly for the Kuban Cossacks (see original photos from the books), when this territory passed to the Kuban Cossack army around 1860-1880. This is the second dagger that I sell from this city, see my sales. Fitted with a blade measuring 35cm x 3.1cm long at its widest point, this is a very large dagger, sharp and in phenomenal condition. It wears beautiful dark horn hilts, which in their condition also remain very healthy and strong (with some horn loss on one side), and has a metal bar on top with two very large rivets (an important feature for these daggers). ).Inside the all-metal case, 2 wooden halves are visible. The total length is 54 cm. The dagger is in very good condition, there are traces of use.
Photo with three daggers, for comparison. This is a genuine article. Please read the photos carefully: they show the quality of the lot.
