Thebadge is in Solid Brass and “Hot Baked” Enamels of very nice quality. Measures24.8 mm in height, 21.8 mm in width. Shows tent and campfire, with compass atthe bottom and red star at the top. Slightly concave reverse with concentricrings shows the raised min mark “LMD” of the Leningrad Mint.
Thebadge is in GREAT CONDITION. The enamel shows nice luster and is beautifullypreserved, with only a couple of tiny contact marks that are practicallyunnoticeable to the naked eye – no chips, flaking, repairs or other significantissues. The gilt finish on the obverse is nicely preserved and bright; onthe reverse, there is a minor amount of tarnish that is not detractive. The pinattachment is intact and fully functional.
