Spain: Cross for Constancy in Service for Non-CommissionedOfficers with pension bars. The cross was created by Generalissimo Franco in1958 to reward non-commissioned officers for good conduct and long service of20 or more years in the military or Civil Guard (see Pascual, Juan Luis Calvo. Cruces Y Medallas 1807/1987 (1987) p.113, #355). This early example features the red Cross of Santiago on a bluebackground, with orange-yellow enamel bars on the arms of the cross indicatingthat the recipient received a pension. The cross is in better than very finecondition, on the original ribbon with pasador, and has an articulated imperialcrown. There is a tiny bit of wear to the Cross of Santiago, and the ribbon isa bit faded with what appears to be a little glue residue.
