A late 19 th century Artillery sword saber by WKC… stamped at ricasso with a KNIGHTS HEAD…. A nice example of a late 19th century sabre with a 31” chromed? double etched blade. The etched blade is mostly bright and has an ‘EAGLE ‘ and ‘ US ‘on right side and panoply, trophies and at the ricasso on the left is the distributor’s id… ‘The PETTIBONE BROS MFG Co. ‘ The hilt is of brass with DOVETAIL pommel and backstrap, a ‘P-guard’ and upper lozenge quillon.

Fine ray-skin wrapped grip with tightly twisted wire wrap. A couple tiny dark spots near guard. Blade with one wide 5/6 length fuller. Blade is tight to hilt with no movement. Low Excellent or better condition. There is no stamp on the blade spine near the guard.
