Offered is a U.S. W.W. I American Field Service Ford Ambulance Brass Donor Plate. The plate measures 3-3/4\" x 6-3/4\" in size. This plate is listed in Volume 3 of the American Field Service History under names and donors of cars in the American Field Service In France. The Tod Ford ambulance was donated by Mrs.George Tod Ford, Washington, D.C.The donor plates were placed on the right side of the ambulance box just in back of the ambulance number and under the word \"SERVICE.\". The ambulance pictured has a plate donated by J.P. Tirrell of St.Louis. I will provide a copy of the original H.C.Ellis photo shown here of the Tirrell ambulance to go with the plate.
